THE HILLSBORO STORY/a kaleidoscope history of an integration battle in my hometown, by SUSAN BANYAS, is a multi-voiced investigation that illuminates the role her Ohio hometown played in American Civil Rights history and the journey to encounter that history directly. An established choreographer and multi-media artist, Susan will be performing her solo performance piece, OUTTAKES, featuring excerpts and outtakes from the book.

THE HILLSBORO STORY began as theatre, with a music score by jazz/world music composer, David Ornette Cherry, which premiered at Artists Repertory Theatre in Portland, Oregon, toured nationally and has been expanded into a non-fiction book, recently released by Spuyten Duyvil Press, NYC.

Books available at the performance and at Waucoma Books.

Tickets available at the CCA Gallery and at Waucoma Books.
