This is a great book - but weird and confusing - which is perfect since it's about a teenage boy, Caden, who is mentally ill and pretty confused himself. Sometimes it's hard for Caden (and the reader) to tell what's real and whats not. He's on a journey towards Challenger Deep - the deepest point on earth, and he can't get off the ship he's on or away from the Crew and Captain. Between the one eyed captain and his one eyed parrot, the mysterious swabby and Caliope - the ships figurehead, Caden doesn't know who he can trust. All he knows is that he has to go to the bottom of the worlds deepest trench, if he ever wants to get off the ship. - Melodie

This is a great, but very, very odd book. It was kind of like watching a car crash happen, but not being able to look away or stop yourself from laughing at a tragedy - partly because you're embarrassed for Cheryl, partly because it's just so crazy. You're in Cheryl's head seeing things as she does, reading her thoughts and realizing just how crazy people can secretly be. She is socially awkward, somewhat deluded about her relationships with people and about to experience everything she's fantasized about, but definitely not the way she had fantasized it.

Olav is a 'fixer' and now he's supposed to 'fix' his boss' cheating wife. Despite his career and dyslexia, Olav is intelligent and romantic - which comes to the forefront during the surveillance of his next target. She is beautiful, graceful like a cat, and he loves her. Of course this means he has to 'fix' the problem he has just created - his betrayed boss. A great story with twists and turns that will keep you flipping pages until you reach the end - and prepare to be surprised!

The second installment of this series is much longer and drawn out than the last, but just as good.
The struggle of the Childrens league continues, and it's full of action and adventure! Ruby has to make a lot of big decisions in this book, and it helps her and the other characters develop beautifully and grow up right before our eyes.
If you like dystopian books with a lot of action and fight scenes and some mild romance then this is perfect!
